Reading
Individual instruction is what makes Oxford's Reading program
so effective. During every lesson your child will receive direct
attention from a certified teacher covering phonics, vocabulary,
sight words, and the general rules of reading. Clumsier readers
soon become quick and accurate as they practice with their teacher.
They are rewarded for paying attention to the details and main
ideas in their reading, thus building their comprehension skills.
Oxford's reading students also work on fundamental skills such
as following directions, detecting the sequence, and using the
context. Students feel good about their progress as they achieve
small goals in quick succession.
Why Oxford Learning Source?
Reading skills are the most valuable learning tools that your
child can possess. Oxford has been teaching reading to thousands
of students since 1980. We start by administering a test to determine
how the child compares nationally with students of the age group.
We identify the areas in which the child is struggling and focus
on the those areas, improving the child's skills and confidence.
Our certified teachers have the necessary skills, experience,
and caring to make reading fun for your child. Reading is necessary
for learning in any scholastic area. A head start on reading
is a head start on a successful life.
