Tutoring

Think of tutoring as help with current school work. With the guidance of a trained professional, your student works to understand the tasks assigned to them at school. This approach works especially well for students who have done well in the past, but are now facing more challenging material.

 

Oxford offers two programs to assist students with their current school studies and assignments.

 

PowerPlus

This program uses the latest technology in school tracking systems to work with your student and his or her teachers on their current curriculum and class assignments. A certified specialist will give a study skills lesson which helps the student get organized, learn test taking strategies, note taking skills, and other skills needed to stay on top of any program. The remainder of the class is used to provide a quiet, consistent place for your student to work on their schoolwork. The specialist will be there to answer any questions and help them accomplish their goals.

 

Homework Help

This program is designed specifically for students who need help with a difficult class. A certified specialist is always available to answer any questions your student may have.
